I believe in the role of the economist and intend be a part of the central economy as a person dealing with problems and formulating solutions. There is a risk their body may reject all or some of the different chemicals that are injected. A person who is receiving the chickenpox vaccination still has a small chance of getting chickenpox. Another example would be a person who received the flu shot could still get the flu sickness. Furthermore, many families who are extremely religious may believe that using medical practices goes against their religion so it is a risk of violating their religion. In addition to the religious belief for not vaccinating a child is the immense amount of information about side effects of vaccinations. The objective I chose for this project was muscle endurance and I plan on achieving it by eating more and working out more. My workout program would consist of cardio like dance (since I help out at a dance studio), walking or maybe jogging, and jump roping. It would also consist of other things such as crunches and push-ups but I am still unsure about that due to time. My diet program honestly will not change much. In fact, the only things I plan to change to become healthier are to make time to actually eat more than one meal and snack occasionally. Instead, I plan to attempt to eat more fruits and vegetables, eat more than 1,000 calories a day, and limit my portion sizes since they tend to vary. My weight at the start of this program is 137.4 pounds. On day one of the program, I decided to start with dinner since I started to feel better after being sick days before. I did not eat much for breakfast and lunch so I ate food from my job and it was something that had a lot of calorie s. I learned that with the program, I was not allowed to exceed 1,750 calories, 66 grams of carbohydrates, 2,300 mg of sodium, 25 of fiber, and 88 of protein daily. The next day, my meals consisted of pan fried shrimp, juice, and pudding for lunch along with various snacks and chicken soup and cereal for dinner. Bullfighting is a traditional spectacle, also known as a bloody short, but it is not just any sports, it is actually believed as â€Å"fine art† to the Spanish followers of this entertainment. Yet this sort of bloody sport has been argued as a form of animal abuse. Bullfighting has been portrayed as a significant role in the Spanish culture and tradition for 300 years. In ancient times, it was considered as bull worship and a kind of sacrifice by the Celtic-Iberians. During the years, this sacrifice has evolved to an art form of performance and rituals, where bulls are slowly tortured and humiliated to their death in the ring. Although in some countries, the bulls are not killed, they still have to suffer through all that pain. During a bullfight, the matador while waving a large red cape leads the bull to the arena. After several observations on the bull, the creature is then jabbed through their neck with lances by the matador. Slowly watching them overwhelm with pain as they started to lose their strengths causing the poor animal to have loss of blood. Afterwards, a sword, through his back to deep downward into its heart, is directly stabbed towards the bull and blood would pour down on the arena floor. The bull would struggle with their last breath to get back on their feet but soon, the pitiful animal would collapse and fall into their feet. The Puritan society looks at Pearl as a child of the devil, and a black hearted girl because she is the result of sin. Hester and Dimmesdale are both in the same situation in Pearls eyes. Pearl wants Hester to realize that she is not the worst person in the world before she removes the scarlet letter. Pearl wants Dimmesdale to accept his sin, and be part of their life publicly. Pearl is all that Hester has in her life. She says that Pearl: keeps me here in life! Pearl punishes me too! See ye not, she is the scarlet letter, only capable of being loved, and so endowed with a millionfold the Power of retribution of my sin? (Hawthorne 100). Hawthorne shows that Pearl represents the scarlet letter not only symbolically but literally as well. Hester says that Pearl is the living scarlet letter, and causes Hester more anguish than the scarlet letter itself. Pearl is only difficult when she sees her mother trying to flee her sins the wrong way. This is why Pearl makes her mother keep the scarlet letter. Hester knows that she did a bad thing, but she does not feel that she is a good person, and will not feel that way until she accepts her sins. Pearl will not let that happen because she knows that by leaving, Hester is escaping her sins and living life thinking that she is a bad person. Hester desires to leave the world that she is a sinner in, and live a new life. Dimmesdale knows that he is going to die soon, so why not leave the place of his sin and go with Hester to a better life. Dimmesdales heart is burning from the inside because of the weight of his sin, and he knows that he will die, or reveal his sin to the town. Pearl wants Dimmesdale to accept his sin, and does not want her mother to run from hers, so she acts stubborn. Hester makes fleeing the town easier for her by throwing the scarlet letter away. Pearl acts as the scarlet letter by attempting to make her accept her sin. The child turned her eyes to the point indicated; and there lay the scarlet letter. (Hester) But, on very truth, she is right as regards this hateful token. I must bear its torture just a few days longer. (Hawthorne 192). Pearl, as the living embodiment of the scarlet letter, makes her mother wear the scarlet letter unless she is going to accept her sins by realizing that she is not the worst person in the world. By taking off the scarlet letter, Hester is falsely relieving herself of the sin she committed. Until she realizes that she is not the most sinful person in the world, she must wear the scarlet letter. When Hester is given the chance to remove the scarlet letter, she does not take that chance because she thinks that she still is an awful person. Pearl sees this also in her mother. But sometimes, we come across someone who changes our lives for the better. They lift you up from the lowest points in your life, and point you in the right direction. If we never ran into these people that alter our lives, our lives would be very different today. Everybody has someone who has impacted their life in some sort of way, for better or worse. For some people, this person may be a parent, family member, or friend. Although, in many cases some individuals find this great impact through religion, as I did. The first movement that got my family and I so close to the Catholic Church was the encounter of a retreat called Acts. My dad first came across this retreat late November of 2001. I lived mine at the age of 15 because I was mature enough and too eager to wait another year. When I first got there, I didnt know what to expect. I had so many ideas of what could possibly go on, but had no clue. What got me even more curious to do my own retreat was the fact that nobody could tell you what went on in there. I learned this soon after walking into my retreat, we were presented with the River Rule. This rule states that whatever happens on one side of the river stays on that side of the river and does not cross. Meaning, whatever happened at the retreat, happened at the retreat with the people who lived it, not anybody else. It makes people more anxious to come because they feel like they have to know what happens in the retreat, as did l. The Teen Acts retreat changed me as a person in so many ways, and completely made a big impact in my life. I cannot even begin to list all the different things it has done to me, and for me. It was such an amazing experience and touches so many people who are enduring hard times in their life. I am proud to say that I have staffed two Teen Acts retreats and other smaller retreats in my parish. As most people remember the positive things that have impacted their life the most, Acts was mine. Hands down, living an Acts retreat will change your life and your perspective at life in a variety of ways. You wont regret living your Acts retreat one bit. I encourage anyone who hasnt done one, to sign up for one as soon as possible. This will be the biggest impact that has ever come across your life.
